Tuesday marked the 50th anniversary of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, a marvel of engineering that required men to create land and machines to accomplish. Fifty years ago this month President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. And 50 years ago in January, Johnson declared war on poverty. The Congress he worked with is considered one of the most productive in our nation's history.
